The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) Tharallah Garrison in north Tehran was targeted with heavy explosions by rebellious youths.
The Tharallah Garrison, headed by IRGC Commander in Chief Hossein Salami, is in charge of protecting Greater Tehran, Tehran province, and Alborz province against protests and uprisings.
In critical situations and with the approval of the Supreme National Security Council and regime supreme leader Ali Khamenei, this garrison becomes the headquarters for the Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS), the State Security Forces (SSF), as well as all repressive organs and government ministries.
This garrison contains a large underground detention center, which was used to incarcerate and torture protesters arrested during the nationwide uprisings in 2018, 2019, and 2022.
