PMOI Resistance Units in Zahedan: No to shah, no to mullahs

In a significant development underscoring the rising spirit of popular defiance, PMOI Resistance Units in the city of Zahedan carried out a series of bold actions, including the distribution of leaflets and the writing of anti-regime slogans across neighborhoods—despite the heavy security presence and the widespread surveillance infrastructure deployed by the Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guard and Ministry of Intelligence.

These actions took place under suffocating repressive conditions, highlighting the courage of these units who have come to embody the conscience of the Iranian people yearning for fundamental change. The city walls were emblazoned with powerful slogans rejecting both religious tyranny and monarchic dictatorship, including the prominent message: “Neither Mullahs nor Shah — But Freedom and a Democratic Republic.”

The Resistance Units also held placards with slogans such as: “The execution of political prisoners on the eve of negotiations with America is the other face of the executions under Pezhashkian,” exposing the blatant contradiction between the regime’s rhetoric of international openness and its domestic repression. Another striking slogan read: “The curse of the people and history on the murderous Shah and the mullahs,” reflecting a broad popular rejection of all forms of despotism, whether cloaked in religion or crowned in monarchy.

Additional slogans spotted throughout the city included: “Dictatorship is dictatorship… whether in a turban or a crown,” and “The Shah and the Supreme Leader thirst for the people’s blood”—succinct expressions that expose the oppressive foundations of Iran’s ruling systems.

Some leaflets stressed that the only viable solution lies in the uprising of the people and their revolutionary forces, with messages such as: “Confronting this regime is the mission of the Iranian people, the rebellious youth, and the National Liberation Army of Iran,” and “From Zahedan to Tehran… Death to the tyrant, whether Shah or Khamenei.”

This daring movement embodies the determination of the Iranian youth—particularly in oppressed regions like Zahedan—to shatter the walls of silence and transform every corner of the city into a platform for freedom and dignity. It sends a clear message: the era of tyranny is nearing its end, and the dawn of a free Iran is inevitable.
