On Friday, March 28, 2025, PMOI Resistance Units in the southeastern city of Zahedan launched a series of defiant activities to mark the beginning of the new year with a clear message: 1404 will be the year of volcanic uprisings and intensified resistance to bring down the regime of the mullahs’ regime.

The Resistance Units carried out extensive street activities, including distributing leaflets and writing bold slogans on city walls. These messages declared that the new year would be “a year of volcanic eruptions,” “a year of uprising and rebellion to dismantle the regime piece by piece,” and “a year of destiny to end injustice, oppression, and corruption.”
The slogans emphasized that 1404 would mark a turning point in Iran’s history, a time of nationwide mobilization for fundamental change and the ultimate downfall of the ruling theocracy.

Among the messages echoed in Zahedan:
- “1404 is the year of revolution and uprising to break the chains of the regime.”
- “The head of the snake, the Supreme Leader, has been struck in Syria and Lebanon—it must be crushed inside Iran.”
- “The time has come for a great house-cleaning in Iran—cleansing the country from dictatorship and oppression.”
- “This is the year to rise up and win.”
Other slogans highlighted the pivotal role of women in the resistance, using the widely recognized chant: “Woman, Resistance, Freedom.”

As Iranians marked the Nowruz (New Year) festivities, Resistance Units declared they would celebrate the occasion not with fear, but with hope and confidence in the victory of freedom.
The slogans also reflected a firm rejection of all forms of dictatorship—monarchical or theocratic—stating:
- “Neither Shah nor Sheikh; the people of Iran want a democratic republic.”
- “From Zahedan to Tehran, death to the oppressor—whether shah or the mullahs.”
- “Monarchy and theocracy are two sides of a century of crimes.”
- “No to the crown, no to the turban—the mullahs’ rule is over.”
- “Long live the democratic revolution of the Iranian people.”

They reiterated that it is the Iranian people—especially the defiant youth and the National Liberation Army—who are responsible for confronting the regime and carrying the revolution forward until victory is achieved.
The Resistance Units also highlighted the enduring spirit of Sistan and Baluchestan, a province that has witnessed brutal crackdowns by the regime. In their slogans, they emphasized that Baluchestan will never surrender to the regime despite the killing of children and destruction of homes, asserting: “Baluchestan is awake—it rejects both the Shah and the Sheikh.”

Through these actions, the Resistance Units once again underlined that the movement for change is alive and gaining strength. With this powerful opening to the new year, they sent a clear signal: the fire of resistance burns on, and the people of Iran remain determined to topple the regime of the Supreme Leader once and for all.
