PMOI Resistance Units in Zahedan mark anniversary of Dr. Kazem Rajavi’s assassination

In recent days, the city of Zahedan has witnessed a significant escalation in the activities PMOI Resistance Units, with the distribution of leaflets and the hanging of large banners across the city to commemorate the anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Kazem Rajavi, one of Iran’s most prominent human rights advocates.

The banners and leaflets carried strong political messages, focusing on several key themes:

Honoring Dr. Kazem Rajavi’s Role in Exposing the Regime’s Crimes

Several slogans highlighted Dr. Kazem Rajavi’s pivotal role, with messages such as:

  • “Kazem Rajavi and the Mojahedin achieved the condemnation of the regime through tens of millions of hours of exposing crimes across the world.”
  • “Dr. Kazem Rajavi: We write the history of human rights with our blood.”
  • “Kazem Rajavi was the first to record the condemnation of the mullahs’ regime at the UN Human Rights Commission and the UN General Assembly.”

Participants emphasized that Dr. Rajavi’s only crime was defending human rights. It was noted that the Iranian regime dispatched 13 agents from the IRGC and intelligence services, carrying diplomatic passports, to assassinate him in Geneva.

Rejecting Both Monarchical and Theocratic Dictatorships, and Calling for Freedom
The Resistance Units expressed an outright rejection of all forms of tyranny, whether from the former Shah’s regime or the current clerical regime, through slogans such as:

  • “From Zahedan to Tehran, death to tyrants whether from the Shah’s regime or the mullahs’ regime.”
  • “Baluchestan is awake and rejects both the Shah and the mullahs.”
  • “No to monarchy, no to theocracy… yes to freedom and equality.”
  • “Neither the Shah nor the mullahs… long live the Iranian people’s democratic revolution.”

These slogans emphasized that dictatorship remains the same, whether it wears a crown or a turban, and that the Iranian people’s current demand is the establishment of a democratic republic.

Condemning Executions and Internal Repression
Other banners condemned the regime’s bloody policy of suppressing the population, particularly through waves of executions. Messages included:

  • “The brutal executions reflect the deadly deadlock in which the mullahs’ regime is trapped.”
  • “Khamenei vainly attempts to prevent the people’s uprising and his regime’s downfall through executions and massacres.”
  • “The people’s response to the massacres and executions of political prisoners is a fiery uprising.”

The slogans reaffirmed that resisting oppression and tyranny is a legitimate right, and that the Iranian people are confronting the regime through the Resistance Units.

Persistence in Overthrowing the Regime and Achieving Freedom

Many slogans reiterated the Iranian people’s steadfast commitment to continue the struggle until the overthrow of the Velayat-e Faqih regime. Among the messages raised were:

  • “We are fighting a decisive battle to determine our nation’s destiny against the mullahs’ regime and its agents.”
  • “We are ready, present, and fighting for freedom and equality.”
  • “Iran’s modern democratic revolution will prevail.”
  • “The Iranian people’s demand is to establish a democratic republic.”

The Resistance Units, forming the backbone of the popular resistance against the Iranian regime, aim to overthrow the despotic mullahs’ regime.

Their goal is to establish a democratic republic based on freedom, equality, and the separation of religion from the state, ensuring human dignity and fundamental rights, in accordance with the vision outlined in the Ten-Point Plan of Maryam Rajavi, the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).
