Iran’s nationwide uprising marks 250th day as protests in different cities continue

Iran’s nationwide uprising is marking its 250th day on Tuesday as people from all walks of life are taking to the streets to voice their grievances. Anti-regime protests are ranging from hatred of the mullahs’ rule due to the regime’s recent surge in brutal executions—including three protesters hanged last Friday—to the country’s nosediving economy that is making it impossible for people to make ends meet.

People throughout Iran continue to specifically hold the mullahs’ Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei responsible for their miseries, while also condemning the oppressive the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) and paramilitary Basij units, alongside other security units that are on the ground suppressing the peaceful demonstrators.

Protests in Iran have to this day expanded to at least 282 cities. Over 750 people have been killed and more than 30,000 are arrested by the regime’s forces, according to sources of Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK). The names of 675 killed protesters have been published by the PMOI/MEK.

Incoming reports indicate that brave youths in Kermanshah, western Iran, attacked a base of the IRGC Ground Forces and the IRGC’s 29th Division in this area. This attack, taking place early Monday morning local time, resulted in multiple explosions.

Locals in the city of Malayer of Hamadan Province in western Iran, and Karaj, located west of Tehran, are chanting anti-regime slogans on Tuesday , including:
“Down with Khamenei!”
“Down with the dictator!”
“My life for Iran!”

On Tuesday, investors of the Cryptoland online exchange held a rally in Tehran demanding the IRGC to return their stolen money returned. Over 25,000 families have been wronged and robbed by the IRGC.

The users of Cryptoland have been holding protests for two years, but authorities are refraining from acting on their demands. Cryptoland had around 289,000 users, who have lost hundreds of millions worth of their savings in the online marketplace.

Locals in the city of Abadan in southwest Iran gathered on Tuesday to mark the one-year anniversary of the Metropol building’s collapse due to the regime’s corruption. Authorities sought to prevent the gathering by blocking the roads.

Tehran University students held gathering on Tuesday protesting the regime’s strict on-campus rules and regulations, especially female students. “I will attack those who attacked our sisters!” they chanted.

Sharif University students in the country’s capital Tehran held a gathering on Tuesday protesting the regime’s execution of three protesters last Friday.

Brave locals have taken to the streets of Rasht, a major city in northern Iran, and were chanting anti-regime slogans on Monday afternoon, including:
“Down with the state of executions!”
“We swear on the blood of our compatriots that we will stand to the very end!”
“Down with the dictator!”
“Our silence is treason and collaboration in crimes!”
“The state of executions is breathing its last breaths!”
“Executions, imprisonment, and torture are no longer effective!”
“Poverty-Corruption-High prices! We’re going to overthrow the regime!”

Retirees and pensioners of the regime’s telecom industry in Ahvaz, the provincial capital of Khuzestan in southwest Iran, were rallying on Monday to protest their low pensions and poor economic conditions. Similar protest gatherings were reported in ArakKermanshah, Ilam, Shahrekord, Bojnurd, IsfahanZahedanHamadanMashhad, and Rasht, among others. This continued previous gatherings held during the past few weeks and months in Tehran and other cities across the country.

In the past few years, retirees across Iran have been protesting to their deteriorating living conditions, especially as the government refuses to adjust their pensions based on the inflation rate and fluctuations in the price of the rial, Iran’s national currency.

Heavy vehicle drivers in Arak of Markaci (Central) Province in central Iran launched their strike on Monday protesting their current conditions and the mullahs’ dictatorial rule.

In Tehran, defrauded investors of the Ramak Khodro auto company held a rally on Monday outside the regime’s Ministry of Industry, Mine, and Trade, protesting and demanding their stolen investments be returned.

State police in the village of Gojag in Hormozgan Province, southern Iran, opened fire on locals protesting a ruling by regime officials seeking to demolish two residential homes in this area. A number of the locals have been injured, according to activists.

In other reports, petrochemical workers of the Jahan Pars Company in southwest Iran returned to work on Monday after company officials promised to increase their salaries by 50%. Seeing no such raises, however, they stopped working and returned to continue their strike.

Railroad technicians in the city of Qom, central Iran, launched a strike on Monday, rallying outside the local governor’s office demanding their delayed paychecks.

Locals in the Darreh Hendu village of Chaharmarhal & Bakhtiari Province in southwest Iran were holding a gathering on Monday protesting the regime’s refusal to provide an asphalt road for their residential areas leading to a nearby town.

Locals in the village of Mehrabad in Tehran Province were holding a gathering on Monday and protesting the regime’s decision to dispatch anti-riot units and destroy their local flower market the night before without prior notice.

Tehran University students held a gathering on Monday protesting the suspension of one of their classmates. Reports indicate authorities dispatched forces to disrupt this peaceful gathering.

Truck drivers launched a strike on Monday in the main terminal of Bandar Abbas, a major portal city in southern Iran.

The protests in Iran began following the death of Mahsa Amini. Mahsa (Zhina) Amini, a 22-year-old woman from the city of Saqqez in Kurdistan Province, western Iran, who traveled to Tehran with her family, was arrested on Tuesday, September 13, at the entry of Haqqani Highway by the regime’s so-called “Guidance Patrol” and transferred to the “Moral Security” agency.

She was brutally beaten by the morality police and died of her wounds in a Tehran hospital on September 16. The event triggered protests that quickly spread across Iran and rekindled the people’s desire to overthrow the regime.
