Various protests reported across Iran

Iran, Jan. 14, 2019 – Numerous cities throughout Iran witnessed protest rallies on Sunday by people from all walks of life.

A group of rail workers in Ahvaz, southwest Iran, held a gathering at their workshop, protesting not receiving their paychecks or answers to other demands.

In the city of Yazd, south-central Iran, a group of teachers rallied outside the provincial office to demand better educational services. The protesters in this gathering were against policies imposed by Iranian regime officials to increase their own profits while leaving students and teachers deprived. These protesting teachers also demanded their employment status to be finalized.

In Tehran, individuals who purchased montaged Renault vehicles rallied outside the Iranian regime’s prosecutor’s office to protest the refusal of Saipa and Pars Khodro companies to deliver their purchased vehicles.

Also in the country’s capital, employees of the Bank Arman-e Vahdat held a gathering, protesting being expelled from work in groups by regime authorities.

In other protest news from Tehran, clients of the Caspian credit firm (known to be directly associated to the Revolutionary Guards – IRGC), rallied and demanded their stolen life savings returned.

Clients of the Badr Toos credit firm (known as a Caspian subsidiary) in Mashhad, northeast Iran, rallied outside the provincial office and demanded their plundered money returned.

Also in Tehran, retirees and teachers were seen rallying in the famous Vanak Square at the entrance of Attar Street facing their pension fund office. They were protesting mismanagement by regime officials and demanding the release of their jailed colleagues.

In Abadan, southwest Iran, over 100 municipality employees held a gathering outside the city’s town hall to protest paycheck delays and seek answers on other demands.

Employees of the Haft Tapeh sugar cane company rallied on Sunday demanding their delayed paychecks.
