Iran: Regime losing hope over INSTEX, concerns of PMOI/MEK

Analysis by PMOI/MEK

Feb. 3, 2019 – Friday prayer imams, known to be representatives of the Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, are expressing their hopelessness and disappointment in regards to the newly announced European initiative dubbed INSTEX, the Instrument for Supporting Trade Exchanges.

Omid Zamani of Khoshk-e Bijar, northern Iran: “On INSTEX, we must know it has only been registered and nothing special will happen. Secondly, France is hosting INSTEX… France is also hosting the [People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK)]. Germany will be managing it while just a week ago they sanctioned Mahan Air and prior to that they refused to fuel our Foreign Minister’s plane.”

Ruhollah Amini of Natanz, central Iran: “They can say all they want. It has been seven months now that the nuclear deal document is long gone and the Europeans have closed their eyes. The Europeans said they would find a solution to bypass U.S. sanctions with the Iranians… At last, they claimed the Europeans said we are worried about your missiles and that the missiles must be controlled. We are concerned about your influence across the globe, they say…”

Mehdi Ghoreishi of Urmia, northwest Iran: “The announcement of an international conference by the U.S. government in Poland, during which they will be discussing Iran as the main issue… Aiming to confront the Islamic republic, this was announced by the U.S. Secretary of State during his visit to the region…”

Mullah Baba-Heydari of Fars Province, southern Iran: “The U.S. Secretary of State emphasizes we are aiming to have the Iranian people take control of their capital and the Europeans are pursuing two dossiers. One is the plan to expel and arrest the Islamic republic’s diplomats, and the other is the brouhaha launched against our missile program and efforts to refer the case to the U.N. Security Council and sanctions in this regard. The three European countries are officially talking about new sanctions against Iran. Berlin is suspending Mahan Air flights to Germany. Paris is talking about the necessity to launch missile negotiations and punishing Iran. UK Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, as the first European foreign minister, announcing his participation in the Poland meeting.”

Mostafa Olama of Kermanshah, western Iran: “I am warning the Majlis (parliament) and the Expediency Council to be very careful during their evaluation of the FATF CFT text. We should not be deceived as we were in regards to the 2015 nuclear deal.”

Hamidreza Shekari of Larijan, northern Iran: “Various FATF conventions were unknown for us and not ratified in the Majlis. However, we are witnessing they are being secretly implemented. Similar to the nuclear deal, it has been two years that some countries were saying if we join the nuclear deal all of the country’s problems would be resolved.”

Mullah Mohammadi-Laeeni of Neka, northern Iran: “The enemies are relentless to force us to succumb. Therefore, we must prepare ourselves for hardships and difficulties.”

Mullah Salemi of Shahriar, northern Iran: “Each day the enemy seeks to use the issue of human rights and challenge the state.”
