While regime experts are reporting shortcoming in abiding by minimum standards in the production of indigenous vaccines, and no measures have even been taken to obtain World Health Organization approval, Bahram Einollahi, the regime’s Health Minister resorted to ridiculous remarks today on this already sensitive topic. “The Razi vaccine is one of the most technologically advanced vaccines in the world. This vaccine has received 20 percent approval for exports. From now on we will no longer have any vaccine imports. The country’s coronavirus vaccine consumption will place the priority to indigenous vaccines and rely on such production,” he said, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.

“We should not take hasty decisions regarding reopening schools. In the various peaks and variants of coronavirus we witnessed how this virus has taken the lives of our loved ones. Any decision that we make must be precise and based on expertise,” said the spokesperson for the regime’s Majlis (parliament) Education Commission on Thursday, according to the Tasnim news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Quds Force.

“From late March of this year to this day 1091 students have contracted Covid-19 in the city of [Boyer Ahmad] and 242 of them were after the reopening of schools,” said the mayor of this city on Thursday, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.

“We need to consider air pollution as a first-degree threat in Tehran province and the city of Tehran, alongside floods and earthquakes. Air pollution has mixed up with coronavirus and calls for emergency care have increased. Each day we are responding to 21,000 telephone calls,” said the caretaker of Tehran Emergency Center on Thursday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“In the red zone cities, the numbers of coronavirus patients are rising. In some cities that are registered as orange zones, if their status quo continues for another two days and the number of people hospitalized does not decrease, some of these cities may see a change in color designation for the worse,” according to a statement released on Thursday by the Birjand Medical Sciences University regarding South Khorasan province.

“During the past 24 hours the number of confirmed coronavirus cases has increased by 38 percent yet the number of dire patients and those under ventilators has increased by 30 percent,” said the deputy dean of Qazvin Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the Tasnim news agency.

“During the past 24 hours 124 coronavirus patients have been hospitalized while 86 were discharged,” according to a statement released on Thursday by the Isfahan Medical Sciences University.

“The number of people hospitalized in coronavirus hospitals in Yazd stands at 389, of which 110 are in ICUs,” said the spokesperson of Yazd Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).
