While the number of Covid-19 deaths in Iran reaches the 214,000 mark and the regime’s criminal/plundering policies are delaying the people’s access to the vaccine to an unknown future date, regime President Hassan Rouhani continued his series of ridiculous lies today. “Thank God that we have surpassed the grave coronavirus threat. We were able to surpass the first, second and third waves in the best possible way. People were never in line for foodstuffs and never had any problem procuring hygiene goods. No patient had to wait outside a hospital, in the streets or inside an ambulance for a hospital bed. The vaccination process began yesterday,” Rouhani said on Wednesday.

“The coronavirus chain reaction will be broken when around 45 million people are vaccinated across the country. We need around 100 million vaccine doses for this number of people,” said a member of the National Covid-19 Task Force on Wednesday, according to the state-controlled Aria media outlet.

“In the past two weeks the number of coronavirus patients being hospitalized have increased and tripled in comparison to two weeks ago,” said the head of the Hygiene Center in Khuzestan province on Wednesday. “Covid-19 in Khuzestan has entered a new peak and this winter peak will be far more severe than the previous peak because the circumstances are ripe for the illness to spread,” this official added, according to the regime's official IRNA news agency.

“At a high speed we are witnessing an increase in the number of Covid-19 cases and this has resulted in Ayatollah Taleghani Hospital to be full with no more room for new patients,” said the  dean of Abadan School of Medicine on Tuesday. “The peak that we are currently witnessing is moving at a fast rate and this is quite concerning,” the official added, according to the official IRIB news agency.

“The cities of Ahvaz and Shadegan are in alarming conditions and there is no low-risk area in Khuzestan province when it comes to coronavirus,” said the dean of Jondi Shapour Medical Sciences University on Wednesday, according to the Fars news agency, an outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).

Head of the Covid-19 ICU branch in Mashhad’s Akbar Hospital said the death toll of children suffering from coronavirus accounts to three percent of all the those hospitalized in Razavi Khorasan province in northeast Iran. “The number of children being hospitalized for Covid-19 from February 2020 to this day in Akbar Hospital stands at 1179, of which 101 have died to this day,” this official said on Tuesday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“The fourth Covid-19 peak is threatening the society’s well-being. Forecasts indicate this wave will gain its utmost intensity in late March,” said the head of Mashhad Medical Apparatus Organization on Wednesday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“The trend of Covid-19 cases in Isfahan is out of control and increasing. During the past 24 hours 2394 patients with coronavirus symptoms have sought medical care,” said the spokesperson of Isfahan Medical Sciences University on Wednesday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime's Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“In the past 24 hours 414 confirmed Covid-19 cases have been identified. Currently there are 140 coronavirus patients in ICUs and the total number of Covid-19 deaths across this province now stands at 3544,” said the dean of West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Tuesday, according to the semi-official IMNA news agency.

“Currently 450 coronavirus patients are hospitalized across Gilan province and 80 were in the past 24 hours alone,” said the dean of Gilan Medical School on Wednesday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.
