“Currently 44 percent of our ordinary beds and 71 percent of our ICU beds are allocated to coronavirus patients in the cities under the umbrella of the Ahvaz Medical Sciences University. Furthermore, 38 percent of the special beds and 90 percent of the ordinary beds allocated to coronavirus patients in the Abuzar Children’s Hospital are now occupied,” according to a statement released on Saturday by the Jondi Shapour Medical Sciences University of Ahvaz in Khuzestan province.

“If the number of people being hospitalized is high, we are most certainly in undesirable circumstances.

During the past two weeks the death toll has been doubling.

The number of new cases in the city of Shazand is escalating and this issue needs serious attention,” said the deputy governor of Markazi (Central) province on Saturday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“We currently have 1142 coronavirus patients hospitalized, of which 189 are in ICUs. During the past 24 hours 23 people have lost their lives across Isfahan province, aside from the cities of Kashan and Aran & Bidgol,” according to a statement released by the Isfahan Medical Sciences University on Saturday.

“The coronavirus death toll has increased in [Kohgiluyeh & Boyer Ahmad] province due to omicron. 120 children are hospitalized in this hospital,” said the dean of Hazrate Masoumeh Hospital in Qom on Saturday, according to the semi-official ISNA news agency.

“One week into the sixth peak all cities in Ilam province are registered as red zones. Of the province’s 12 cities only Halilan is considered an orange zone while all others are red zones,” said the deputy dean of Ilan Medical Sciences University on Saturday, according to the regime’s official IRNA news agency.

“The covid death toll continues to rise and during the past 24 hours we have seen ten people lose their lives to coronavirus,” according to a Saturday report wired by the Fars news agency, an outlet linked to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).
