“The increasing number of people being hospitalized in the past few days sends a different message: this is the first index that sounds the alarm bell of fragile and unstable conditions in Tehran. The number of people seeking initial medical care for Covid-19 symptoms has now, based on the statistics, reached 10,000 to 11,000 per day in medical centers across Tehran,” according to a report published on Thursday by the Didar News website.

“There are currently 228 coronavirus patients in ICUs, most of which were from late last week. This indicates that the spread of coronavirus in [West Azerbaijan] province has not significantly decreased and continues as we speak. We currently have 971 people hospitalized, of which 46 are under ventilators,” according to a statement issued by the West Azerbaijan Medical Sciences University on Thursday.

“Five cities in West Azerbaijan province are registered as red zones and the remaining are orange and yellow zones,” said the deputy governor of this province on Thursday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).
