Over 497,300 people have died of the novel coronavirus in 547 cities checkered across all of Iran’s 31 provinces, according to reports tallied by the Iranian opposition People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) as of Thursday afternoon local time, January 13. The official death toll declared by the regime stands at 132,002, around a fourth of the actual figure.

The coronavirus death toll in various provinces include: 116,180 in Tehran, 40,060 in Razavi Khorasan, 34,470 in Isfahan, 17,198 in East Azerbaijan, 14,503 in Alborz, 13,715 in Sistan & Baluchistan, 9218 in Hamedan, 8230 in Hormozgan, 6340 in Ardabil, and 4406 in South Khorasan. This is in addition to reports obtained from other provinces.

The regime’s Health Ministry announced the mullahs’ engineered Covid-19 numbers from the past 24 hours on Thursday as 30 deaths and 2394 new cases. Furthermore, 1462 patients are in ICUs and 274 of the new cases have been hospitalized.

The novel coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, has taken the lives of over 497,300 people throughout Iran, according to the Iranian opposition PMOI/MEK

“The number of omicron cases identified across the country stands at 733, with 122 in Hormozgan province, 117 in Tehran, and 112 in Razavi Khorasan being the highest. Mazandaran with 74, Isfahan with 67, and Markazi (Central) with 52 cases rank in order,” according to a statement released on Thursday by the regime’s Health Ministry.

“Omicron can engulf a large population in a very short period. The number of people seeking initial medical care, being hospitalized, and placed in ICUs will probably increase in the coming days, and tacking this issue may be difficult,” said the head of the Health Ministry’s Contagious Diseases Center on Thursday, according to the Mehr news agency, an outlet linked to the regime’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security (MOIS).

“The coronavirus situation across [Qom] province is escalating. In the next few weeks, the number of people being hospitalized will increase,” according to a statement released on Thursday by the Qom Medical Sciences University.

“Next month there is a possibility that the next wave will begin in Ardabil province and omicron will be the main variant,” according to a statement released on Thursday by the Ardabil Medical Sciences University.

The latest stats released by the Shahroud Medical Sciences University in Semnan province indicate the number of new and confirmed coronavirus cases have quadrupled in comparison to the beginning of this week, and the number of people hospitalized has tripled in comparison to 72 hours ago, according to a report wired on Thursday by the Mehr news agency.

“We are forecasting that in the coming two weeks omicron will become the main variant. The number of omicron test kits are limited. One percent of those tested for coronavirus also undergo omicron testing,” said the spokesperson of Isfahan Medical Sciences University on Thursday, according to the Mehr news agency.
