Images of Iran regime founder set on fire across the country

Reported by PMOI/MEK

Iran, June 4, 2019 – Marking June 4th, the 30th anniversary of the death of Iranian regime founder Ruhollah Khomeini, a network of supporters of the Iranian opposition group People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) in various parts of the country set fire to the images of Khomeini and current regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Short videos of these activities are available and sent from inside the country.

In Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari Province, southern Iran, a sign was set on fire reading, “May God and Iran’s nation damn you, Khomeini.”

In the cities of Mashhad and Karaj, northeast and northern Iran respectively, PMOI/MEK supporters set fire to Khomeini images and threw other such images in public trash cans, all in expressions of their utter hatred towards the mullahs’ regime.

In Shiraz, south-central Iran, PMOI/MEK supporters drew large X-signs on a variety of Khomeini images and threw them in trash canisters across the city.

In Qazvin, northwest Iran, a poster affiliated to the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) Basij containing Khomeini/Khamenei images was set on fire.

A PMOI/MEK supporter ridiculed current regime officials, saying they are all remnants of the ruthless Khomeini and the Iranian people will not be deceived by their plots.

A group of PMOI/MEK supporters in Khuzestan Province (southwest) and Tehran held signs reading, “Hail to Rajavi,” referring to Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

Other signs read, “Hail to the National Liberation Army of Iran” and “Death to the Dictator.”
