Louis Freeh, former director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, delivered a speech at the Free Iran 2018 rally, the largest gathering of the Iranian opposition, which took place in Villepin, France, in June. Freeh discussed the Iranian regime’s terrorism, protests in Iran and the role of the Iranian opposition in bring peace and democracy to Iran.
“The regime’s agenda of terrorism has not changed. The regime’s export of terrorism has not changed. But the sentiment in the streets of Iran has changed,” Free said, referencing the nationwide protests that have been ongoing in many Iranian cities since the turn of the year.
