Political eruption in the making for Iran

Written by PMOI/MEK

July 8, 2018 – Hawaii’s magnificent volcanic eruptions recently are a definitive reminder of political turmoil awaiting Iran, according to former Member of the European Parliament Struan Stevenson in his latest article posted in the United Press International.

“This geophysical phenomenon has many parallels with the volcanic political situation in Iran, where civil unrest and repeated public tremors and protests are a clear warning of a massive eruption that is sure to happen and that will sweep the corrupt, fascist mullah regime from power,” Stevenson explains.

Obviously, the mullahs resorted to their usual recipe and scenario of dispatching security forces and their “gestapo, the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps,” who were seen in social media footage gunning down protesters in the streets. Over 8,000 protesters were arrested during the Dec/Jan nationwide uprising sweeping throughout 142 cities.

The brutal crackdown, however, has backfired miserably as public hatred is increasing to new levels. The people’s resolve is surmounting with more signs of demands for regime change.

“Their chants of ‘death to Khamenei,’ ‘death to Rouhani,’ ‘death to the dictator,’ ‘no Gaza, no Lebanon, my life for Iran, death to Hezbollah, leave Syria alone, think about us instead, death to the Islamic Republic and shame on you, mullahs,’ have clearly demonstrated their hatred for the current suppressive regime and their demand for change.”

In a new spark of protests over severe water shortages, the locals of Borazjan in southern Iran were seen chanting these same slogans on Saturday.

These continuing protests, evolving into major uprisings in some areas, are introducing to the world more than ever before the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and their network of members inside Iran that are “prepared to risk their lives, to struggle for their rights and to fight for freedom and equality.”

The PMOI/MEK, as the cornerstone member of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) political coalition, has proven itself capable of overthrowing the theocratic mullahs ruling Iran.

NCRI President Maryam Rajavi has called for “the restoration of peace, freedom, democracy, human rights, women's rights, an end to torture and the death penalty, an end to the nuclear threat and an end to foreign meddling.”

Around 80 million Iranians are praying and yearning for that day to come, the sooner the better.
