PMOI/MEK network increasing activities across Iran, marking anniversary

Iran, June 24, 2019 – Members of “Resistance Units” and supporters of the Iranian opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) are commemorating June 20, 1981. This marks the day that the religious fascism ruling Iran showed its true colors to the people in Iran and the world over by opening fire on a 500,000-strong peaceful demonstration in Tehran. Many demonstrators were arrested and executed that very night, and the Iranian people’s resistance entered a new phase against the ruthless mullahs.

In Tehran, a large poster containing an image of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi was posted to mark this anniversary.

 

In Yazd, central Iran, PMOI/MEK supporters marked this day, also coinciding with the founding of the National Liberation Army of Iran (NLA), by putting up images of Massoud Rajavi and the NLA flag in various parts of the city.

 

In Arak, central Iran, a number of NLA placards were put up around the city.

 

In Tabriz, northwest Iran, a PMOI/MEK supporter held a sign marking the June 20 anniversary.

 

In Gilan, northern Iran, PMOI/MEK supporters put up hand-written anti-regime slogans.

 

 

 

In Zahedan, southeast Iran, PMOI/MEK supporters put up signs of this organization’s martyrs and Massoud Rajavi images in various sections of this city.

 

In Sistan & Baluchistan Province, southeast Iran, a group of PMOI/MEK supporters held images of this organization’s martyrs to commemorate this day.

 

In Mashhad, northeast Iran, members of Resistance Unit 882 put up images of ten PMOI/MEK martyrs in commemoration of their memory.

 

In Shiraz, a sign was put up in commemoration of another ten PMOI/MEK martyrs. Supporters of this organization also paid their respects to a number of PMOI/MEK members, political prisoners and others who lost their lives at the hands of the mullahs’ regime.

 

 

 

 

In Tehran, members of a resistance unit put up images of Iranian opposition President Maryam Rajavi calling for protests and an uprising to topple the mullahs’ rule. Maryam Rajavi is the President of the Iranian opposition coalition National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

 

 

In Lahijan, northern Iran, members of Resistance Unit 721 put up a sign calling for the mullahs’ overthrow.

 

In the cities of Qom, Hamedan and Karaj, members of resistance unit and PMOI/MEK supporters put up signs of resistance martyrs and a Massoud Rajavi message.

 

In Isfahan, central Iran, PMOI/MEK supporters commemorated this important day by taking to graffiti.

 

In Zanjan, northwest Iran, PMOI/MEK supporters put up signs in support of regime change.

 

 

Anti-regime graffiti are also witnessed in various provinces across the country, including East Azerbaijn, Tehran, Semnan and Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari.

In various cities of Khuzestan Province, southwest Iran, PMOI/MEK supporters and resistance unit members also marked this important anniversary.

 

 

 

Another important date is May 25, 1972, when PMOI/MEK founders and two other senior members were executed by the Shah’s dictatorship. Members of resistance units in the cities of Tehran, Bandar Abbas and other towns in Khorasan Razavi Province in northeast Iran.
