Iranian opposition MEK network escalating pro-resistance activities

Reporting by PMOI/MEK

Iran, December 11, 2019—A network affiliated directly to the Iraniain opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and members of the Iranian Resistance “Resistance Units” are continuing to risk their lives and brave all odds throughout December through pro-resistance activities against the mullahs’ regime. Many cities and towns checkered throughout the country are constantly becoming scenes of Resistance Units members displaying quotes from messages of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

These Resistance Units and PMOI/MEK supporters are daring dangerous odds in continuing their activities despite the brutal crackdown imposed by the mullahs’ regime. The numbers are horrific as MEK sources have confirmed 1,029 protesters killed (320 in Kermanshah Province alone), over 4,000 injured and at least 12,000 arrested. The number of those detained are rising.

In Kerman, south-central Iran, resistance units members put up Massoud Rajavi posters emphasizing this regime understands no language but force and firmness. A Maryam Rajavi poster said the end of the mullahs’ regime is near. Similar posters were also put up in Zanjan, northwest Iran.

In Abadan, southwest Iran, a Massoud Rajavi poster reads, “The overthrow of the inhumane enemy is definite.” More Rajavi posters in Ahvaz, also in southwest Iran, read, “Death to Khamenei! Hail to Rajavi!” in reference to Iranian regime Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In the Iranian capital Tehran members of resistance units put various signs quoting Massoud and Maryam Rajavi, specifically calling on the United Nations Security Council to hold senior regime officials accountable for the horrific crackdown imposed on the Iranian people.

In Golestan and Mazandarn provinces, the cities of Lahijan and Rasht, also located in northern Iran, various posters and signs also quoted Iranian Resistance leaders calling for continued protests to overthrow the mullahs’ regime.

MEK Resistance Units also marked “Students Day” in Iran through their activities. In Tehran, Massoud and Maryam Rajavi posters hailed the brave Iranian college students in their ongoing protest movement against the mullahs’ regime.

In Rasht, Zahedan, Tabriz and Sari cities across Iran, resistance units members continued their activities encouraging the Iranian people that the only path to freedom lies in continued protests weakening the mullahs’ regime before their ultimate downfall.

Other resistance units members were seen taking to graffiti and writing slogans against the mullahs’ regime in Qazvin International University (northwest Iran), the University of Shahroud east of Tehran, and Isfahan University in central Iran.

It is worth noting that any support for the PMOI inside Iran is considered punishable by death by the mullahs’ judiciary. Back in June 2014, Gholamreza Khosravi, an MEK supporter, was arrested and executed merely for sending a small financial donation to a satellite TV network affiliated to the PMOI/MEK. “Gholamreza Khosravi Savadjani was arrested in 2008 in Rafsanjan, Kerman Province, in connection with his alleged support of the pro-PMOI (People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran) TV station Sima-ye Azadi (Voice of Freedom),” according to Amnesty International.
