Iran opposition MEK network spreading the word of resistance

Reporting by PMOI/MEK

Iran, December 4, 2019—Members of the Iranian Resistance “Resistance Units” and supporters of the opposition People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) are continuing their brave measures throughout November and December to spread the word of resistance against the mullahs’ regime. Streets and alleys throughout the country are now scenes of protests and confrontations between the Iranian people and the mullahs’ regime, especially with Resistance Units members spreading the word about and messages of Iranian Resistance leader Massoud Rajavi and opposition President Maryam Rajavi, head of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI).

These Resistance Units and PMOI/MEK supporters are daring dangerous odds in continuing their activities despite the brutal crackdown imposed by the mullahs’ regime. The numbers are horrific as MEK sources have confirmed over 1,000 protesters killed, over 4,000 injured and at least 12,000 arrested. The number of those detained are rising.

In the Iranian capital Tehran, Massoud and Maryam Rajavi posters were installed with quotes calling for further protests to free Iran of the mullahs’ oppressive rule. Other posters of these resistance leaders insisted the Iranian people and their organized opposition movements are determined to topple the mullahs’ regime.

Despite the mullahs’ claims, protests are continuing in Iran and various posters installed by PMOI/MEK supporters and resistance units members highlighted the fact that this movement will continue relentlessly to make certain the end of the mullahs’ rule.

One particular resistance unit in Tehran set fire to a state police trailer while another filmed the torching of an image of regime founder Ruhollah Khomeini. Propaganda posters of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nassrollah were also destroyed by these brave resistance units.

In other cities close to Tehran, including Varamin and Eslamshahr, MEK supporters took to graffiti and wrote: “Our nation’s victory is certain,” quoting Maryam Rajavi; “Death to Khamenei” and “Death to the mullahs’ principle”; and “Death to Khamenei, the murderer of Iran’s martyrs.”

It is worth noting that any support for the PMOI inside Iran is considered punishable by death by the mullahs’ judiciary. Back in June 2014, Gholamreza Khosravi, an MEK supporter, was arrested and executed merely for sending a small financial donation to a satellite TV network affiliated to the PMOI/MEK. “Gholamreza Khosravi Savadjani was arrested in 2008 in Rafsanjan, Kerman Province, in connection with his alleged support of the pro-PMOI (People's Mojahedin Organization of Iran) TV station Sima-ye Azadi (Voice of Freedom),” according to Amnesty International.
