Friendly countries not welcoming extension in relations with Tehran: Comoros Ambassador

Khabar Online website, 11 October 2010 – Comoros Ambassador in Iran said, “Friendly countries did not welcome an increase in relations with the Iranian regime.”
“Comoros Ambassador Ahmad Najid al-Mazruqi has eye-opening comments on relations between Iran and Comoros in interviews,” state-run media wrote in this regard. “He said I have to say expanding relations with Iran has grave dangers for our President. His decision to increase relations with Iran has not been welcomed by friendly countries.”
“Considering the dissatisfaction of various countries, including friendly countries, our country’s President accepted a great risk in establishing an embassy in Iran, and by this act he lost in many other fields,” Comoros Ambassador said in his interview.
“Some time ago, a declaration was received from our country’s Vice President saying relations between the Iranian government and Comoros has brought damages for this country,” Kumor’s Ambassador in Iran continued.
In response to remarks made by Comoros’s Ambassador, the state-run Mehr News Agency wrote: “The Foreign Ministry will most probably issue a serious notification to this ambassador.”
