Tehran’s exhibition in Canada cancelled after widespread protests

Following widespread protests by Iranians, political dignitaries and human rights activists throughout Canada, the Iranian embassy’s pre-planned program was cancelled.

According to reports, the mullahs’ embassy in Canada intended to setup an exhibition on Friday, 8 October, under the pretext of a program of culture, film showing and ancient remnants. This exhibition, planned to be held at the Canadian government’s National Library and Archives Center, was aimed at easing the pressure of increasing international isolation of the Iranian regime. The mullahs’ had planned extensive propaganda in Canadian newspapers for this exhibit.

These actions by the Iranian regime provoked a wave of protests by Iranians and supporters of the Iranian Resistance, political figures and human rights activists all over Canada. Thus, the Canadian government decided to cancel this program.
