A session was held in support of Mojahedin in Ashraf and Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s “Third Solution” in the Municipality Council Hall of Grugliasco, in Italy’s Piemonte Province. This session was held by the city’s municipality council.
Municipality council advisors and representatives from the Society of Meridiana, Justice and Freedom, and the Colle Del Lys National Partisans Committee attended this session.
Giuseppe Rizzo, municipality advisor and head of the Grugliasco Partisans Institution said in his speech at this session: “In these years the Ayatollahs’ dictatorial regime in Iran has had no limits in human rights violations, increasing by the day. Stoning, torture and executing political prisoners are of the worst types of tortures that this regime is enforcing on its people. The Iranian people demand freedom and democracy in their country. It is our obligation to support the Iranian people and their resistance. We support Mrs. Maryam Rajavi’s Third solution because this is the only method for regime change in Iran. It is our obligation to activate international societies to support the Mojahedin of Ashraf and to strive in providing their protection. Ashraf is the true answer and the democratic solution for establishing democracy in Iran.”
Tullio Monti, head of the Laise Society for the laws of the city of Torino, said in his speech: “Appeasement with this regime has given the mullahs the green light to violate human rights and export terrorism, however, a democratic and principled path is that international bodies should stand alongside the Iranian people and their resistance. The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran is the main force of this resistance and international bodies must show them support so they can overthrow this regime and establish democracy in Iran. The Iranian resistance, with its main force being the combatants in Ashraf, and its charismatic leader Mrs. Maryam Rajavi along with the Iranian people, are the only alternative for democratic change in Iran. We call on Western governments and the Italian government to formally recognize the Iranian resistance and intervene responsibly in the matter of protecting Ashraf so the UN would be able to seriously be present there.
Yousef Lessani of the Free and Democratic Iran Society stressed in his speech: The obligation lying on the UN and international bodies is to intervene seriously to protect Ashraf.
