Al-Nour daily, Iraq, July 18, 2010 – Al-Neda tribal sheikh Feisal Houm in the Diyala Province said the Iranian regime is behind recent news regarding judicial allegations issued against the members of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI) in Iraq.
He called for the humane treatment of Ashraf residents and described them as guests of the Diyala Province tribes.
“Ashraf residents are ‘protected persons’ under the Fourth Geneva Conventions,” added Sheikh Feisal Houm. “We, as Iraqis and Arab tribes, view the People’s Mojahedin as guests of Diyala Province tribes. I see no reason for spreading lies about forged arrest warrants of the Ashraf residents.”
