McCain: There is a movement underway in Iran that can’t be stopped

VOA TV (Persian Language), July 13, 2009 – The Republican Senator John McCain, senior member of the Senate Armed Forces Committee believes that Iran is the most serious and greatest challenge facing the United States.
Senator McCain believes that important and targeted sanctions must be enacted against Iran.
In an interview with MSNBC network, McCain said: ’Meanwhile it is necessary that we support morally the Iranian people who are struggling to obtain a free democracy and an open society and to enjoy a fair election.’
Senator McCain, who along with Republican Senator Lindsey Graham and independent Democratic Senator Joseph Lieberman is conducting a bill for protection of Iranian people’s media freedom and preventing internet censorship, said: ’Neda’s death in Tehran’s streets was a fundamental incident and the issue that she turned into a symbol against an oppressive and tyrannous regime will change basically the future of Iran.’
The senior US Republican Senator believes that there is a movement underway in Iran that can’t be stopped.
