Royal Dutch Shell stops gasoline sales to Iranian regime

NCRI, 10 March 2010 – Royal Dutch Shell said Wednesday it is no longer selling gasoline to Iranian regime, Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday. Shell is the latest oil company to make such a move during threats of tougher sanctions against the Iranian regime.
“Shell is not currently selling gasoline to Iran,” a company spokesman said. He declined to comment on whether it was related to sanctions against Iranian regime, the report said.
Traders Vitol Holding BV and Glencore International AG, historically key fuel-oil suppliers to Iranian regime, recently decided to halt sales of gasoline to the country.
