IRAN: Unemployed Youth Protest Against Lack Of Job Security In Oil Company

On Saturday, April 14th, the unemployed youth of Asaluyeh and Kangan gathered in protest to the lack of employment in oil companies close to their villages.

Hundreds of indigenous people are unemployed in Assaluyeh and Kagan. The unemployed youth of Assaluyeh and Kangan want the “Occupation of the Special Zone” to work on indigenous jobs.

Protesters who had been protesting in front of the South Pars Special Administrative Region in the past few days said: “Either way, with all of the oil, gas and petrochemical projects, there should not be unemployment among indigenous youth, some who are educated and professional people.”
