Iran; Arresting money exchangers, Mullahs’ solution to counter the rise in US Dollar price

Iran, April 11, 2018 – To prevent the US Dollar price rise, the Iranian regime has, as usual, resorted to force and suppression, and has so far arrested 12 money changer in Tehran’s exchange market, and has shut down 16 exchange offices. Tehran’s police chief, Hossein Rahimi, asserted while announcing the news: “In coordination with judiciary officials, we will act swiftly and decisively to arrest those who violate the law in this regard.”
It must be noted that the US Dollar passed the 6000 toman line on Monday, April 9. Eshagh Jahangiri, Rohani’s vice president announced that the US Dollar’s price was fixed at 4200 tomans. Germany’s DW radio station said in this regard: “Many people never saw cheap dollars, or did see them, but were not able to purchase them.”
