Daily Caller, March 29, 2018 – The Secretary of Defense, James Mattis, welcomed the new National Security Advisor, John Bolton, to the pentagon Thursday.
Mattis welcomed Bolton and thanked him for the visit and the pair began walking into the Pentagon.
Bolton is replacing former National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster, who had a combative relationship with Trump. Over the last few weeks, Trump has outed a large portion of his diplomatic and national security team. The Secretary of State, Secretary of the VA and National Security Advisor have all been replaced.
