A member of the Expediency Council, Ahmad Tavakoli, threatened officials in Rouhani’s cabinet that he would call on the Iranian people for a demonstration if the officials did not publish the list of their wealth.
Tavakoli pointed out to the 29th article of Iran's Sixth Development Plan in which obliges all managers to publish all their wages on a website. “If the government does not fulfill this very article, we call on the Iranian people to demonstrate in streets”, he tweeted in his personal Twitter account.
Meanwhile, the deputy head of regime’s parliament, Ali Motahari, criticized the Project to Return Unlawful Assets Collected by Officials, which is under study in the parliament. He said: “this project ignores assets collected by military officials, armed forces managers, supreme leader’s office and its branches. This is a discrimination”.
