Orient Net, March 7, 2018-- Assad regime, backed by Russian air force, resumed bombardment campaign against eastern Ghouta’s towns and cities, killing at least 30 people on Tuesday (Mar. 6).
Orient News correspondent, Mohammad Abdulrahman, said 15 civilians, including women and children, were killed and others had different injuries as 15 Russian strikes targeted Jisreen city.
Assault by regime militia also killed 2 civilians in Ain Tarma, 1 in Hazzah, 1 in Bait Sawa, 4 in Erbin, 4 in Harasta and 1 in Zamalka, and injured dozens in Eastern Ghouta’s towns and cities, according to our correspondent, Hadi al-Munajid.
In Kafarbatna, a civilian succumbed to his wounds while a body of another killed civilian was found under the rubble by Syria Civil Defence rescuers, both lost their lives from Monday selling.
Monday death toll pushed up to 99 civilians, both Orient News correspondents reported.
Hundreds of civilians have been killed in the besieged enclave of satellite towns and rural areas on the outskirts of Damascus in one of the fiercest bombing campaigns of the seven-year-old war.
The United Nations believes 400,000 people are trapped inside the enclave where food and medical supplies were already running out before the assault began with intense airstrikes two weeks ago.
