Riyadh, Riyadh Daily, 5 February 2018 – The Iranian people would continue their uprising until the regime is toppled, Mousa Afshar, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, has said.
Commenting on the recent statements made by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Afshar said, “In fact, these statements, made by Mullah Rouhani, are nothing but a definite confirmation of the continuing uprising of the Iranian people. The unrest was continuing despite tools of repression used by the regime and the campaigns of arrests and torture against the demonstrators, especially the youth. Indeed, the people will not give up their will to oust the regime’s rule of ignorance and crime regime.”
Afshar confirmed that Rohani plays an important role in the repression and killing operations that target the Iranian people. He added that the uprising has now been expanded to different cities by different segments, including workers at workshops, factories and railways. The Iranian people know that the regime is on its last legs, and is hence chanting, “Death to Khamenei,” and “Down with Velayat Al-Faqih.” Their goal is to establish democracy as confirmed by the Iranian resistance.
Regarding the statements attributed to Karoubi and his letter to Khamenei, Afshar commented, “They are all alike. Karoubi presided over the so-called Shoura Council for three sessions. Karoubi, Mousavi and Rouhani are an integral part of this criminal regime. All of them are supporters of the Velayat Al-Faqih. The Iranian people have taken to the streets and were clearing shouting, “Down with Velayat Al-Faqih.” Therefore, what Rouhani and other members of this regime say is an attempt to present a facade to the Iranian regime before the people because they know that there is no future for them. It is just an attempt to rid themselves of the ongoing crimes committed against the Iranian people and to absorb the increasing anger of the people.”
Meanwhile, a member of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI) said on Rouhani’s role in the regime and the so-called presidential elections that there is no a real meaning of the word “elections” in Iran. All these fake elections are made within the framework of the Velayat Al-Faqih and the believers in this regime. “Therefore, you see that the recent presidential elections that brought Ahmadinejad or anyone else in office are a result of rigging, and there is no change in the life of the people. All of them are involved in suppressing the people, suffocating freedom, and exporting terrorism and extremism abroad, as well as in promoting the missile and nuclear projects.”
Life in Iran has changed following the uprising of December 28, 2017. The situation will never return to what it was before. It is only a question of time when the Iranian regime will be overthrown. The coming phase will tell.
