Washington, D.C. JAN 11 2018 – U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) today released the following statement regarding the future of the Iran Nuclear deal.
“The deeply flawed Obama ‘Iran deal’ should not be a grant of immunity to Iran from sanctions related to non-nuclear activities. Should the President choose to remain in the Iran nuclear deal, he should also impose new sanctions against elements of the Iranian government, including the Central Bank of Iran and other Iranian banks, that are involved in or facilitating the regime’s human rights abuses against Iranian protesters, its ballistic missile program, or its support for terrorism, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, or regional destabilization.”
