Responding to a recent call, a large group of people who have lost their savings through buying shares of government controlled financial institutions gathered on Sunday, July 23, 2017, in front of the Capital's Central Bank demanding their money back.
The gathering of thousands of people, which took place at 3pm local time in front of the capital's Central Bank, was in protest to a number of financial institutions plundering the people's savings and not returning their money back.
The demonstrators were carrying banners and placards and chanting anti-government slogans including "death to the demagogic government."
The demonstration started from the Central Bank and lead to Mohseni Sq. north of Tehran.
