IRAN, 17 July 2017— Following the factional infighting and a power struggle in Iran’s elite structure, the hardline judiciary imprisoned President Rouhani’s brother Hassan Fereydoon and his aid in the capital city Tehran.
Mohseni Ejeie, the judiciary spokesman said on Sunday that during numerous investigations, the president’s brother was apprehended and transferred to the prison.

“The arrest warrant is not temporarily. His release would be pending paying the bond assigned,” the spokesman added.
He also said that he is charged with financial fraud, but his charges do not relate to his banking abuses.
