The BaghdadPost, 25, June 2017 – Al-Nujaba militia, which is affiliated with the Iranian Militias in Iraq and Syria (IMIS), is currently on the outskirts of Deir Ezzor city in Syria, to assist Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad forces, according to a well informed source.
In a press statement, the source asserted that militias reached the borders of the city after recapturing al-Waer dam, al-Waer valley and al-Washash area from ISIS terrorists in northern Syria.
This comes as Iraqi IMIS militias announced several times their schemes to extend their operations in Syria after recapturing Mosul in Iraq, to connect the two countries together.
