Bushati: Albania supports US missile strikes on Syrian military targets

 TIRANA, ATA, April 7, 2017 – Albania expressed Friday strong support for the United States’ swift and firm action in carrying out a missile strikes against Syria’s military targets, following the use chemical weapons in the north-western province of Idlib two days ago, killing dozens of people, including many children, while hundreds others were injured.
The United States launched missile strikes against Shayrat military airfield in Syria, in a direct military action following the chemical attack that killed scores in north of the country.
Albania strongly supports the swift and firm response of the U.S. through missile strike on Syrian military targets.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Ditmir Bushati stated earlier today “airstrikes against Syria are a necessary and robust response of the U.S. administration against barbaric chemical attack committed by Assad regime.”
Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press statement: “Albania joins NATO and EU statements in condemning the repeated use of chemical weapons in Syria, in violation of international conventions and obligations. Use of chemical substances as weapons is unacceptable. It constitutes a war crime and perpetrators must be held accountable.”
