Iran: Former Iranian regime president, Rafsanjani died at age 82

 Reuters, Jan 8, 2017 – Former Iranian president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani died in hospital in Tehran where he was taken after suffering a heart attack on Sunday, state media reported.
State run news media say Rafsanjani, 82, died from a heart attack despite efforts by doctors to save him.
Rafsanjani was an influential figure in Iran, and headed the Expediency Council, a body which is intended to resolve disputes between the parliament and the Guardian Council.
Tasnim news agency also quoted his relative and aide Hossein Marashi as saying that Hasehmi had died at the hospital in Tehran.

 

Iranian regime media have widely reported the death of Ali-Akbar, Hashemi Rafsanjani, the head of the Expediency Council.
Reports indicate that that Rafsanjani suffered a heart attack and was transferred to Tajrish Hospital in northern part of the capital Tehran. He was under treatment but the treatment didn’t effect and he died little after 7 PM local time.
