Iran: imminent threat of execution of 3 prisoners in Karaj and Shushtar

Reports from inside Iran is an indication of imminent threat of the execution of two prisoners in Karaj and the another one in Shushtar, southwestern Iran.
Families of two prisoners in Gohardasht Prison, Karaj, northwest of The capital Tehran have visited their loved ones on Tuesday, Jan. 3rd for the last time. It is said the these two would be hanged soon in public in the city of Karaj. They are identified as Baba-ali Cheshmeh-Nooshin and Torab Rashidi.
The third prisoner who is in Shushtar Prison, is identified as the 33 years old Mehdi Rahimi and is said to be hanged any day now.
Mr. Rahimi is accused of killing a man 11 years ago during a fight. Due to poverty and bad economic situation, Mehdi has not been able to pay the victim's family the so called 'blood money' to be able to buy his release. Therefore, the judiciary sentenced him to death by hanging.
