According to a report by the Syrian opposition television, Orient, Qayes al-Khaza’ali, the terrorist commander of the Iraqi Shiite militia “League of Righteous People,” claimed that his group and all Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces, PMF, would continue fighting on behalf of the Syrian dictator Bashar Assad.
Qayes al-Khaza’ali’s claim came during an interview with the Iranian regime Quds force news agency Tasnim. He said that his militiamen would never stop fighting in Syria.
The comments came after the Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi said that the Shiite militias had to abide by the Iraqi law and respect its sovereignty. Al-Abadi’s comments were interpreted by analysts as warnings to those sectarian terrorists groups against going to Syria.
Human Rights Watch (HRW) said Iraqi Shiite militias committed “possible war crimes” in many Iraqi towns, including Diyala, according to the international watchdog’s report published earlier this year.
