Students continue protests in Esfahan, Ahwaz, Tabriz and Mashhad

A number of students killed, injured or arrested
NCRI – University students across Iran, and the general population, pressed ahead with a fifth day of protests against the religious dictatorship on Wednesday.
University students and residents of Esfahan clashed with suppressive forces in Chaharbagh Street at 10 pm (local time). A number of students were killed or injured. The protestors shattered the windows of the city’s Revolutionary Court.
Students from the University of Ahwaz pressed ahead on Wednesday with their sit-in and protest, chanting “death to the dictator” and “Today is a day of mourning; valiant Iranians are mourning today”. A number of university professors joined their protest.
Students from the University of Tabriz protested against the barbaric raid on the dormitory of Tehran University by the suppressive forces. The protest took place despite suppressive forces having besieged Tabriz University for the past three days. The regime’s officials on campus announced on the third day of the protest that the university is being closed for one month and that students must leave the dormitory.
Students at the University of Mashhad on Wednesday protested, chanting “The IRGC rigs the vote, the leader lends support” [In reference to the support by the mullahs’ Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei for election-rigging by the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC)] and “We don’t want an appointed government”. A large number of students were arrested during the protest.
