Iranians staged demonstrations in London and Washington against heightening of Ashraf siege and the limitations dictated by the clerical regime ruling Iran. In the demonstrations in front of the Iraqi embassies and also outside the White House in Washington, the demonstrators asked for lifting Ashraf siege and implementation of the European Parliament resolution about Ashraf residents’ rights. In London the supporters of the Iranian Resistance held their 88th day of demonstration in support of Ashraf residents and against restrictions on Ashraf. The demonstrators condemned intensification of Ashraf siege and sudden entry of the Iraqi police into Ashraf. In this demonstration the statement of Iraqi Independent Jurists consisting of 12,000 Iraqi jurists and lawyers was read out. In Washington, supporters of Iranian Resistance gathered in front of the Iraqi embassy and protested against the inhuman pressures imposed of Ashraf residents and asked the Iraqi government to lift Ashraf siege. The Iranians also staged their 134th day of demonstration of support for Ashraf residents outside the White House. The participants carried flags and placards and asked the Iraqi government to end Ashraf siege and acknowledge the known rights of Ashraf residents as "protected persons" under the Fourth Geneva Convention. The demonstrators asked for intervention of the US President for lifting Ashraf siege and implementation of the US commitment regarding Ashraf City protection.
