Iran merchants join strike in north-west part of the country [including photos]

Merchants of the northwestern Iranian city of Mahabad joined the strike by shop owners in other cities across Kurdistan province to protest the closure of the border crossings to Iraq by the mullahs’ regime.
The strike began on April 15 in the Iranian towns of Baneh, Marivan, Piranshahr, Saqqez and Sardasht.
The closure of the border crossings to Iraq has led to a steep decline in activity in the bazaars and the loss of many jobs as a result.
Many locals make their living through business across the border in Iraq.
