Iran Human Rights Organization issued its annual report saying the number of executions in Iran shows that 2015 was the most lethal year in more than two decades.
This reports states 95% of all executions in various regions of Iran have been carried out unannounced.
Kurdistan, Azerbaijan and Baluchestan are amongst these regions stated in the report.
Ever since Rouhani took office in summer 2013 at least 2,162 individuals have been executed. A comparison of the first 2½ years after Rouhani took office to the 2½ years before shows a 67% increase in the number of executions.
