Metro workers of Ahvaz, a major city in southwest Iran, rallied for the second day on Tuesday, March 1st, protesting problems with their unemployment insurance. This gathering was held outside the regime’s governorate office in Khuzestan Province.
The expelled workers had in the past few months followed up on this issue many times, yet no unemployment insurance was provided for them.
Ever since new plans have been implemented in the Ahvaz metro system these workers have staged more than 11 rallies protesting not receiving their pensions.
The contract company involved with Ahvaz metro has over 600 workers. Many workers have been fired in different rounds while no unemployment insurance has been provided to any.
