Saudi Deputy Crown Prince and Minister of Defense Mohamed bin Salman announced the formation of an Islamic coalition based in Riyadh to fight against terrorism.
This Saudi-led coalition will consist of 35 members, Al Arabiya reported.
“The headquarters of this coalition is in Riyadh in order to coordinate anti-terrorism efforts in all Islamic countries,” the Deputy Crown Prince explained.
“The destruction of ISIS is not the only goal. In fact, this campaign will target any and all terrorist organizations that act against this coalition in countries such as Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Libya, Mali, Nigeria, Pakistan and also Afghanistan,” he added.
This is an advanced and up-to-date method taken by Riyadh to fight terrorism and important countries from across the globe will play a role in this regard.
The regimes of Iran, Syria, Iraq and the Sultanate of Oman will not be taking part in this coalition.
