Iran: Mahmoud Beheshti Langroudi continues hunger strike in Evin Prison

Mahmoud Beheshti Langroudi is reported to be in dire physical conditions on Monday, December 14th due to his hunger strike. He is facing weight loss and a serious drop in blood pressure.
Langroudi is the spokesman of the Teachers Union Guild and has been on hunger strike since Thursday, November 26th.
Langroudi, arrested on September 6th in his home, said in a letter:
“Protesting the unjust ruling issued against me by Judge Salavati to spend 9 years in jail after a court hearing that lasted only a few minutes, I have officially been on hunger strike since Thursday, November 26th. It is obvious that if anything happens to me during the period that I am on hunger strike the responsibility is on the shoulders of those who imposed this cruelty against me and/or remained silent or indifferent in this regard.”
