According to sources from inside Iran, a large number of students from Arak Medical University went on strike and stop attending classes as well as not going to work at hospitals in protest to the new plan by the regime’s health ministry. The protest and strike took place on Saturday, Nov. 28th.
The student were protesting the government’s health ministry new directive allowing new nurses and nursing students to attend work at hospitals without going through the nursing courses or the duration of studies. Based on the new directive newly hired nurses that have not passed the required courses of studies can start working in hospitals without going to school.
The students and hospital staff were protesting the lack of minimum required skills in dealing with patients.
