Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir said on Sunday after a Saudi delegation met with Russian President Vladimir Putin, “We explained to them about Russian military operations in Syria and said these attacks mean the Russians are in a coalition with Iran, Hezbollah and Bashar Assad.”
The Saudi top diplomat said in a press conference with his Russian counterpart that Saudi Arabia insists Bashar Assad must have no role in the future of Syria.
Al-Jubeir said emphasized on the Geneva-1 statement, meaning the formation of a transition government after Assad steps down or is sacked.
