Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet awarded Nobel Peace Prize

The 2015 Nobel Peace Prize has been awarded to the Tunisian National Dialogue Quartet. This group is made up of a coalition of civil society organizations that the Norwegian committee said this contributed to establishing a pluralistic democracy in Tunisia.
Last Year’s Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to girls’ education campaigner Malala Yousafzai from Pakistan and child rights activist Kailash Satyarthi from India.
96 peace prices have been awarded since 1901 and the awrd includes a cash prize of nearly $1 million.
