In a press conference in Helsinki on Thursday, December 11, the Iranian Resistance revealed new details on the clerical regime’s conspiracies against the Iranian Resistance activists.
In this conference chaired by Parviz Khazaii, representative of the National Council of the Iranian Resistance (NCRI) in Nordic countries, Kimo Sassi, chairman of the Finn Parliament’s Committee of Constitution, Marco Fredman, the Finnish jurist, Mohammad Ali Jaberzadeh, chairman of Political Research Committee of the NCRI, Hadi Roshanravan, member of the NCRI, and Dr. Ali Safavi, member of the Foreign Relations Commission of the NCRI participated and spoke.
At the beginning of the conference, Parvia Khazaii, representative of the NCRI said” The Iranian regime is trying desperately to justify its former fake lists handed to the Interpol by providing and sending bogus documents. Particularly at a time that the terrorist labeling of PMOI has been annulled decisively by the British Court of Appeal and in the level of the European Union, the religious fascism ruling Iran feels more need misuse the Interpol. The Iranian regime wants to hinder the Iranian Resistance activities; now that its efforts to keep the PMOI in the terrorist list have failed, it is in more need of these resorts.”
Kimo Sassi, chairman of the Finn Parliament’s Committee of Constitution and member of the European Assembly of the European Council, said: “I am here for two reasons. The first reason is because of the verdict released by the European Court of First Instance in Luxemburg. We had already worked on the terrorist designation of the PMOI by the EU and had specified that such a designation violated the fundamental rights of the PMOI. A few weeks from now the EU Councils of Ministers is supposed to decide on the list; considering that the European Court of First Instance has ruled for the third time that this organization must be removed from the list and also the British Court of Appeal has ruled the same verdict, I think the Finnish government should implement the same verdict; this is an important issue.
Kimo Sassi added: The second reason for my presence here is because we are tightly engaged with the issue of the Iranian regime’s fake list presented to the Interpol. We must evaluate the Interpol list whether it has been issued due to political motivations or it is based on something? We have to make sure that the Iranian regime will not be able to misuse our democratic system and the Interpol system.”
