Russia is building a new airstrip in Latakia, one of the most important military bases of the Bashar Assad regime, the Syrian Human Rights Network said based on intelligence obtained from sources inside Syria.
During the past few weeks military airplanes carrying heavy military equipment and hundreds of military soldiers have landed in Latakia airport, the report published on Sunday adds.
